Savannah attorney Mike Conner appointed a Georgia State Chair for Council on Litigation Management

Conner is third state chair in Georgia for organization dedicated to furthering the principles and practices of litigation management

SAVANNAH – The Council on Litigation Management (CLM) announced earlier this month that David Michael Conner, a partner at the Savannah law firm of The Conner Law Group, has been appointed a state chair for Georgia.

Conner, whose practice includes Savannah and southeast Georgia, joins current state chairs Carolyn Merck, counsel for Resurgens Orthopaedics in Atlanta, and Mike Athans, partner in the Atlanta law firm of Fields, Howell, Athans and McLaughlin LLP. The prestigious state chair position assists with the development and growth of the CLM while fostering local communications on behalf of the CLM.

Formerly known as the Council on Ethical Billing, the CLM is a national non-partisan organization committed to furthering the highest standards of litigation management. After an intensive screening process, Conner was selected as a CLM state chair based on his demonstrated proficiency as an attorney and his reputation for ethical performance as well as professional commitment to diversity and the community.

The CLM sponsors educational programs, provides resources, fosters communications and recognizes lawyers who meet high standards. The CLM is headed by a national committee and has appointed chairs in place in most states. Selected attorneys and law firms are extended membership by invitation only based on nominations from CLM Fellows.

Conner, who was inducted a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America in 2007, delivered an address earlier this year at the CLM national conference. He was named a Georgia Rising Star in 2006 and 2007 by Super Lawyers, and during his 14-year career has developed a reputation as a formidable litigator, while serving a diverse list of clients ranging from individuals and small companies to Fortune 500 corporations.
